Rasasara beauty Rituals – ‘I AM That’

Rasasara Beauty Ritual Mantras: ‘Ham-Sa’ (in Sanskrit means ‘I AM That’)
A mantra is a powerful word, sound or phrase repeated in unison with the breath, to bring ourselves into the present moment through the simple act of awareness through its repetition.
Incorporating the mantra ‘Ham-Sa’ into your daily skincare rituals, helps you to reconnect with your divine inner beauty – or the Divinity t…hat resides within you, as you.
The Yogis say that Ham-Sa is the most natural mantra, the one we were given by the Creator before birth. It is the sound of our own breath – ‘Ham’ on the inhale, ‘Sa’ on the exhale. ‘Ham’ is pronounced softly & openly like “hahhhm”, which rhymes with “calm”. ‘Sa’ rhymes with “aahhhhh”, like a calm relaxing sigh which comes from a place of deep inner peace from within us.
As you cleanse, tone & hydrate, quietly repeat this mantra joined with the breath, softly smile with your face & inside your mind also. Whilst repeating ‘Ham-Sa’ & smiling with the breath, become aware of the Divine natural beauty that you are honouring as you perform your daily skincare rituals.
Beyond our beauty rituals, as long as we live, every time we breathe in or out, we are repeating this mantra ‘Ham-Sa’ which means I AM That, I AM Divine, I AM with the Creator, I AM not separate, I AM not alone, I AM not this limited illusion of an individual, I AM the most exquisite manifestation of Life expressing itself creatively through Me.
Keep honouring your Divine beauty through Rasasara beauty rituals…’Ham-Sa’
Self Healing Power!

The art of self massage: the application of warm medicated Ayurvedic Aromatherapy oil all over the body is known in Ayurveda as “Abhyanga”. Pronounced a-by-unger a Sanskrit word meaning ‘massage’ this 5000 year old practice still maintains its healing benefits today & is now needed on the planet more than ever. It’s natural, with no side effects & ‘cures the cause of disease’, which is far more beneficial to the current trend growing in our world community – the practice of ‘masking the symptoms’
The benefits of this often underestimated practice are listed below:
Helps in alleviating muscular fatigue
Relieves muscular & nervous tension & pain
Detoxifies the system and enhances circulation
Creates homeostasis in the body
Calming & uplifting the heart/mind
Ayurvedic oils work on a physical, metaphysical, psychological & emotional level. The power of self nurturing through ayurvedic oil treatments leaves you totally relaxed with a feeling of overall well being rejuvenation & peace that can’t be described…only experienced. (A truth confirmed by anyone whose ever received or given themselves this treatment)
When using Ayurvedic aromatherapy oils in conjunction with organic cold pressed black sesame oil a full aromatherapy lymphatic drainage can be completed yielding excellent results.
A whole body self massage treatment using black sesame , cardamon, ginger & vanilla body nourishing oil is best tried before bathing /showering; some alternatives are; rub the oils into your head to nourish the scalp & rejuvenate hair; apply them before swimming to protect dry & sensitive skin from the effects of chlorine salt & sun; as a body moisturising oil apply to warm wet skin;or use as a massage oil, because of its excellent emollient properties – its ideal because a little goes a long way.
High in Vitamin E, sesame oil aids chronic skin diseases, is renowned for removing wrinkles, calming the nervous system, supporting blood circulation & aiding digestion.
If you would like to try self massage pour 30mls of oil into a small bowl, & then place this bowl in a larger bowl of hot water to allow the oils to warm for approximately 3 minutes. Apply the warm oils starting from the feet up through the body (including the face & head), using a few drops on each joint, the more the better in winter to aid in pacifying vata (noticed as aches & pains in any part of the body, including stiffness or aching joints, backs & hips). Use circular movements on the joints & move up & down along the limbs. You can use this meditative time to focus the breath at the tip of the nose & come back into your body, honoring you own divinity. You can also enhance this by repeating the mantra “Om Nama Shivaya” which means ‘I honour the Divinity that resides in me’. Massage should be applied according to body type: Vata – slow & settled movements; Pitta – firm; Kapha – invigorating. Allow 10 – 30 min for this highly beneficial practice.

Our favourite beauty tips…. & winners

Our first winner reflects the essence of Ayurveda & what many of You shared with us… that true & lasting beauty is definitely more than skin deep! In fact it completely bypasses the skin & the illusion of separation that skin creates. True beauty is achieved when we embrace the Big ME which is all inclusive… not only do we become beautiful, but so does the world.
From my beloved grandmother, \”For beautiful lips, smile at people\”.
From my mother \”For a good figure, give some of your food to the poor\”.
From my favourite aunt, \”Laugh – it beats ulcers!\”.
From my honorary mum, \”For a peaceful expression, hug a child\.
i loved this as it mirrors my own beliefs & the Buddhas; & is far more effective than anything you will find in a bottle!…
And for those of us who like to create a daily ritual we thought the following advice was also a winner!
Upon wakening a glass of warm water with a few drops of lemon juice to stimulate the pancreas, liver, digestive enzymes & alkalizes the body. Then wait 1/2 hr before eating;choose to either meditate, stretch and go for a 30min walk or all. start breaky with a freshly squeezed veggie & fruit juice & any vitamins that float your boat, then followed by a delicious homemade low gluten muesli with fruit and nice yogurt.
After that drink 2-3 litres of water daily depending on your activity demands on the day and enjoy getting off on yummy healthy food all day & sneak in cake when you feel like you deserve it. Swim 2x p/wk, regular walks in fresh air, don\’t do gyms they are claustrophobic and competitive, enjoy sunshine occasionally and sensibly.
Use rasasara morning an night with love. Love and embrace the maturing process; with that it expand the mind which effects the exterior immensely!!!the only tip I challenge is drinking 2-3 L of water each day. However we salute you here at rasasara, because you look awesome & took the time to share quite an evolved routine & your secrets with us all! And what i like most about it is that it shows us that You have to LOOK AFTER YOURSELF… which is what ive been doing ever since mothers day myself! and it feels so good… so if you haven’t been taking care, with winter almost upon us, now is the optimum time. Hot baths, hot lemon, ginger & honey teas, lots of warm vata body oil & kapha body salt exfoliant soaks in the tub are all you need to get started with own daily self care rituals.
